Reinvigorate for the future

Asking the right questions – supporting the University of York to take its fitness and wellbeing from good to great.

Who, when, what and why – some of the most important words for any organisation. The answers provide the basis for business strategies across the board, and are especially critical when times are tough, competition fierce and ambitions to make a real difference are never more important.

A longstanding client, York Sport has a remit at the heart of the University of York’s role for public good. They are also key to attracting students, academics and staff as University league tables are no longer just about academic achievement but also lifestyle and whole person development.

Decisions about investment, the facilities, day to day operations and communications are therefore pivotal: The University needs to understand what’s important - the who, when, what and why, and have a baseline to then measure impact.

So, we delivered key audience research to benchmark fitness and wellbeing across the student and staff communities.

Providing the key answers and insights they needed, we designed the survey, analysing quantitative and qualitative data and reporting for a range of stakeholders: Informing communications and investment to fulfil their primary purpose as a university where people can learn, work and thrive, and making sure they continue to attract the best students and staff in a global marketplace.

Keeping you relevant – long term brand evolution

No business can ever stand still especially in turbulent times. What might that mean for your brand?

Roche Legal is a superb boutique private client law firm building a reputation in the UK and beyond. We first worked with them to define their particular empathic brand proposition and embed it in the business and the market.

Six years on, many campaigns, legal awards and a global pandemic later, it’s time to evolve the brand for the firm’s next phase, to:

  • continue to stand out in the congested 2023 legal market,

  • engage with existing audiences and

  • ignite new conversations, opportunities and relationships

  • build new revenue streams.

Supporting Roche Legal’s ambitious growth plans.

As ever it’s a potent mixture of strategic analysis then feeding creative ideas, messaging and content development. Providing Rachel and her team with a refreshed brand still embedded in her powerful brand DNA, and flexible, campaignable and effective comms tools to fulfil her growth objectives – for the next few years and beyond.

Building the future – a hackneyed pun but…

We recently attended the Construction Business Summit held by our clients The Supply Chain Network and York and North Yorkshire LEP. What an industry!

The UK leads in architecture, construction innovation and project management and has immense talent at SME and micro business level.  It has some huge challenges in attracting talent, upping skills and technology to hit government targets and not least net zero ambitions.

We reflected; the Ideas Group team have been supporting construction clients since UPVC double glazing became a thing. Just as we’ve worked with meditech through incredible advancements in joint replacements and defibrillators, or with professional services through their client focussed brand revolutions. What does that mean?

We make the difficult challenges easier: we understand the industry dynamics and support corporates and SME’s to transform through such challenges:

Refocussing their brands and strategies to attract new talent and inspire existing teams; developing on-boarding and DE&I initiatives to help them achieve their potential; creating stakeholder propositions that attract investment – and of course stand out marketing content that wins business and builds profitable relationships for clients to build sustainable futures.

Meditech, food, tourism, engineering… or construction, what extra thinking, skills and ideas do you need to thrive and grow? Call us.

If you’re facing challenges or opportunities, you’re not alone. Some down to earth, incredibly experienced and outstandingly creative outside brains could help inspire your next steps and make the difficult simpler. That’s what Ideas Group’s team is for. It’s what our clients tell us we do best.

Let’s have a conversation.
