The York and North Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership is a public-private partnership with a pivotal role in leveraging growth and prosperity in York and North Yorkshire. In the face of 'louder', higher profile urban centres within the North, the LEP needed to:
Raise the region’s profile – nationally
Demonstrate the potential and ambitions – including to be England’s first carbon negative region
Attract Government and private investment
Galvanise confidence through local business and communities
Commissioned following a competitive tender, we developed a simple, effective approach: Gathering strategic insight and a critical audience and behaviour analysis led to developing a marketing plan and national media strategy, followed by a powerful campaign framework. This delivered all the tools - creative visual approaches, messaging, and online, print, video and presentation assets, to engage and influence behaviours across all audiences, local and global.
A primary output was a series of videos to showcase the breadth of skills, expertise and potential in the region, founded not least in the people. The ‘trailer’ above presents a taster of the four separate films we created.
We carried out filming across a variety of York and North Yorkshire locations and organisations, including interviews with business owners and key local individuals – the passionate people that truly represent the entrepreneurial commitment and resilience of the region.
The final edits delivered compact engaging stories across a set of four films to inform and impress stakeholders, investors, politicians, businesses and communities.
