Nationally prestigious library user experience programme

University of York Information Directorate

Enabling buildings and facilities to be fit for purpose and fulfil their remits especially in complex environments such as a university campus is crucial to user experiences, positive outcomes and the institution’s reputation.

Ideas Group was asked to work with the University of York to overhaul the University Library's wayfinding and informational signage. Undertaking a full audit and developing an information hierarchy underpinned the visually coherent and functional design solution we then created to be applied to all aspects of information, signs and notices.

We further assisted budget planning and a phased implementation across all the Library buildings.
